BIRN Summer School of Investigative Reporting

It’s the part of the year when we (Balkan Investigative Reporting Network) are organizing our new BIRN Summer School of Investigative Reporting and this year it is our great pleasure that Summer School will take place in one of the oldest towns in Croatia, Dubrovnik famous for its cultural and historical heritage, from August 20 until August 26, 2017.

The Summer School will bring together a superb line-up of journalists and trainers and participants will have opportunity to have one on one sessions with Pulitzer prize winners and some of the best investigative editors.

All participants will have the opportunity to research and develop their idea into a full story and win financial support from Investigative Fund during Summer School.

I would kindly ask you to share information about 2017 edition of Summer School both among your colleagues, journalism students and at your organizational webpage, social network pages and your mailing lists. Summer School is for mid-career journalists and editors.

Please find attached document with more information on Summer School, and also bear in mind that we are still offering course fee discounts.

Applications for scholarships must be received by July 31, 2017 – NEW DATE.

Standard applications (for non-scholarship applicants) must be received by August 15, 2017 – NEW DATE.

Possibility of offering discounted prices for all-inclusive fee (covering tuition, room and all meals) to international participants open until August 5, 2017 – NEW DATE !
